Master Grade Astray Red Frame

My first Gunpla model ever and what initially got me hooked. Gifted to me by my brother Will on Christmas day, 2022. As it was my first Gunpla model I didn’t know much beyond clipping the parts out and putting it together. I used the included stickers and did the best I could to attach them correctly.

The kit used something called “dry transfers” for the stickers/decals. I had no idea how to apply them so I followed some YouTube tutorials. I also used something called “panel liner” for the first time which is a diluted enamel paint with an incredibly small applicator brush. When tapped into recesses in the kit, through capillary action, the enamel paint is carried along the line. When finished you clean up the lines with lighter fluid.

As this was my first Gunpla model kit, it will always be special to me. I look at it often and contemplate going back to it someday to paint it, but I have too many kits to build. So for now its a reminder of where I started.
