High Grade Psycho Gundam

This kit is an interesting one because despite it being a HG kit, It’s the size of a perfect grade. This is because in the show the Psycho Gundam is massive. So it’s actually to scale to everything else. Anyway I decided I wanted to try a totally different color scheme and while looking at the kit art I realized how similar it was to the RX-78-2. So i thought why not paint it like the RX? I also tried a new detailing technique with a pin vice to add little holes all over the kit to make it look like it has bolt holes on the panels and in the parts that join together. I did this to give it a sense of scale. When it was finished I found out that the Gundam Builders World Cup was accepting submissions so I decided to try my hand at diorama crafting for the first time. I had to learn everything from terrain building to water crafting. I named the submission “Alternate Realities” because of the color scheme I chose. I didn’t place but I was super proud of all the new things I learned with this kit.
