RX-93 Nu Gundam

This was my first Ver. Ka Model. The Ver. Ka designation refers “Version Katoki” and specifies a kit that was designed from the ground up by legendary Gundam Designer Hajime Katoki. These kits always have more parts, more complexity, and more detail compared to regular master grades. And what better way to break in my new airbrush than to dive right in and paint a Ver. Ka model kit. I also taught myself how to do a technique called pre-shading, which gives the kit more depth by outlining the parts with a dark color, then filling or over spraying with the color you want the part to be. I also bought a 3rd party effects kit, which is the orange lighting bolts you see inside the funnels in some of the action poses. This kit is also the first time I used a photo booth I picked up in order to make my models look better in front of the camera.

This kit was sanded, primed, pre-shaded, painted, decaled, panel lined, and top coated matte.
